How the Timer Works

The fart timer is a simple client-side countdown. When you press start, a countdown appears, and the chosen sound plays once the timer reaches zero. You can cancel any time using the button above. Because the audio is triggered by your earlier tap, the sound should play reliably on most modern browsers without needing to keep the tab in the foreground.

If your device goes to sleep or the tab is suspended, the sound may be delayed until the tab wakes back up. For the most dependable results, keep the browser open and your screen active.
